The design belongs to Barbara Ana's Dreaming Girl series, and this time she has grown colorful wings and turned into a butterfly. In between her delicate antenna is a tiny hat carrying her sunshades.
The young woman's dark tan and long black hair contrasting with her white embroidered blouse, the strong powerful sun, the rich colors, are all evocative of latin America, a region that fascinates the designer and to which she has turned many times in her designs. Prolonging the wings of the butterfly, the layout of the pattern is symetrical with a central stylised sun and a beautiful ark formed by the waxing and weaning positions of the moon.
Stitch count is 91 W x 107 H.
Model was stitched on 32 count Dark Cobblestone Belfast linen from Zweigart and stitched with DMC Cotton floss, DMC Color Variations floss and Kreinik metallic thread.
