Miss Eliza Garside stitched her sampler in 1841 when she was aged 17. This sampler is full of juxtaposition from the naivety of the urn flowers to the classic form of the urn itself. Eliza stitched her sampler in wools that were plentiful in her home county of Yorkshire, England, but she gave her name a bit of special treatment as it is stitched in silk. Includes chart & finishing instructions for the fun, little Needlebook stitched on perforated paper.
Stitch Count: Sampler: 149 x 124.
Stitched on 32 ct. linen with Simply Wool floss from The Gentle Art and silk floss from Gloriana.
