Heartstring Samplery

Tiny little scraps of lovely linen in a growing pile… pieces trimmed from the edges of finished samplers. It would be so sad to just leave the pieces neglected, when there are so many great smalls to be made, I said to myself, and got busy.

This pattern includes a charted alphabet, numbers and a few motifs that can be combined in any way you so choose to make a Needle Book, Scissor Case with Magnetic Needle Minder, Strawberry Emery, and Pin Cushion.

Included with the chart are templates for the Strawberry, and basic instructions for finishing all four pieces.

Models stitched on Weeks Dye Works 40ct. Beige and Straw

Using flosses from The Gentle Art:
7007 Cidermill Brown, 7060 Picnic Basket, 7061 Caramel Corn

Additional materials needed:
Cotton fabrics for lining and backing.
Felted wool scraps for strawberry leaves and needle keeps.
Small magnetic strip (I took mine from the back of my grocery list tablet).
Leftover linen and fabric scraps or crushed walnut shells for filling.
Needle, thread, scissors.
**Unless otherwise stated all fabric is sold in 1/2 yard increments. If you need a longer length, just order multiple units at checkout.
