This beautiful sampler was stitched by Elizabeth when she was 16 years old. There are dozens of Elizabeth Howells born in the years 1834 - 1836 so it is difficult to find our stitcher, but we can enjoy her sampler!

Reproduction Sampler stitch count is 157 W x 216 H.

Model was stitched on 40 count Ale linen from Picture This Plus and stitched with hand dyed silks from Gloriana. Hand dyed cottons from Weeks Dye Works and DMC conversions included in the chart.
